So………….

Do you ever feel like all you do is complain??

Yeah.

That’s how I feel lately.

I’m tired.

I have no energy.

I used to be a morning person.

Now I struggle to get up in the morning

I hate my job.

Yadda.

Yadda.

YADDA.

BUT.

I have so many blessings.

My husband. A truly amazing man.

My family–which grew by one sweet little nephew this month.

My friends. Always there for me.

From the outside?

Life is good.

And yet…

I feel so…

BLAH.

Blah enough to make a dr appointment.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

But I’m ready to find out the answers.

And make it better.

Why 2011 Sucked the Big One…

By | December 29, 2011

…And Why 2012 Will Be Better.

Oh 2011.

How I cannot wait to see the end of you. You have been the least fun year in recent memory.

No, you didn’t bring infertility or infidelity.

But you brought the cancer.

And the jobless-ness. Still.

And the loss of friendships.

A demotion.

The news of friends marriages ending.

Friends infertility woes.

2011, you pretty much brought nothing good to the table.

2012–you listen here.

You.Will.Be.Better.

Because I said so.

Because I can’t do this anymore.

Because this is a significant birthday year for me, and I am determined to have a good year.

I have plans.

I will not write a post like this next year.

I.WILL.NOT.

I’ve already started on some of those plans.

So, 2012, I hope you are ready to deliver.

Because I have huge expectations.

Happy December!!

PS–Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last post. I’m doing better, and getting stronger every day. Much love to you all!

Day One

By | November 27, 2011

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

This is going to be a hard journey. But so so necessary. Will you help me and pray for me?

Thoughts on Recent Events

By | November 10, 2011

I posted this on Facebook, but I think it warrants repeating.

Today my heart is full. Full of sorrow for innocent child victims. Full of disbelief that adults did nothing. Full of bewilderment that people are defending these actions. And full of joy for my friend who beat infertility and is having THREE babies. May every adult in their lives protect them and not let them down.

What’s your take on the Penn State scandal?

Hello? Is this thing on?

By | November 4, 2011

Well hello! Fancy seeing you here. It’s been a while, but having walking pneumonia is keeping me home from work today. I’m all caught up on my Google Reader and my DVR. I’ve read all the magazines I can read. I’m bored. So? Hello!

Here’s a recap of recent events in my life…

  • Football games. Duh. The Gamecocks are 7-1 with a big game at Arkansas this weekend. GO COCKS!!
  • Celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. The Mister and I both had birthdays in September and our 7th anniversary in October. :-)
  • Reuniting with old friends at football games. SO.FUN.
  • Staring a new part time job. That I L.O.V.E.
  • Going to the beach with my parents. Relaxing. Walking on the beach. Visiting a battleship. Eating great food.
  • Being sick. Stupid lungs need to get healthy!
  • Enjoying fall TV. Hello–Revenge? LOVE!
Nothing terribly exciting, but we are staying busy. Also, one of my precious friends called me 2 weeks ago to share her special news. Go check it out! Love you Suz!!
Does this post mean I’m back in the game of blogging? Maybe? We’ll see how it goes. I do miss it, but I feel like sometimes what I want to say is not interesting. I’m much better at the 140 character dealio. :-)
Happy Friday Y’all!

Just Call Me MacGyver

By | August 12, 2011

You know. Richard Dean Anderson? From the 80′s?  This guy??

Anyway…today was allergy shot day. And as usual, my arms swelled up at the injection sites. Completely normal for me. Except my left arm looked like I’d had a 44H implant inserted in it. YIKES! So, I needed an ice pack. Well, we don’t have ice packs laying (lying??) around our office, so we had to improvise. We MacGyver’d it. 1 rubber glove, ice, a gauze wrap and a binder clip. Voila!

It worked pretty well too! However I did stop on the way home and bought an ace bandage and an ice pack. Because having a rubber glove sticking out from a gauze wrap garners strange looks. And funny jokes.

What Is Wrong With People

By | August 9, 2011

AKA, why are people so dumb?????

I did a post similar to this a while ago. Click here to refresh your memory…

OK. A few days ago I was answering the phones at work…here is the conversation.

Me: Good afternoon, John Doe Homes.

DA (Dumbass): Hi! I wanted to confirm your address.

Mr: confirms address

DA: Thanks! Can I get your name for our file?

Me: Sure. It’s Sara. S-A-R-A.

DA: Is that with an H or without?

Me: :::headdesk::: Without

Seriously?? Pay attention people!!! It’s really not that hard. You learned how to listen early on. Keep doing it.

Does anyone else deal with this??  :::pleasedon’tletitjustbeme:::

Well, Hello There

By | August 7, 2011

:::dusts off the cobwebs:::

Yikes. I took quite the blogging break. I think I’m ready to get back into it. We’ll see. Just to catch you up…

  • The Mister??  Cancer Free!!  And no longer radioactive. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. They are more appreciated than I could ever express.
  • We spent Memorial Day at the beach with my in-laws. I don’t remember a lot of it, because it’s best if I drink heavily around my mother-in-law.
  • In June, I went to the beach with these super fun girls. A much needed getaway. We had a blast. LOVE them.
  • July 4th brought the mountains, my in-laws and more drinking.
  • July also brought sleepovers with my nephew and my nieces. So so so fun.
  • One more July event–my high school reunion. 20 years. WOW. It was fun. Also, don’t be the girl that drinks too much at the reunion. Trust me. :-)
What does August have in store?? First and foremost, the gender reveal of my sister’s 4th baby. CAN.NOT.WAIT! (I’m team pink.) The Grand Opening of the Container Store. Celebrating a 2 year olds birthday. 3 baby showers. And? A trip to Raleigh. To visit dear friends.
I’ve missed blogging. I wonder if y’all have missed me? I do Tweet a lot, so probably not.  HAHA!!
I will say…life is good.
More to come…….
