I posted this on Facebook, but I think it warrants repeating.
Today my heart is full. Full of sorrow for innocent child victims. Full of disbelief that adults did nothing. Full of bewilderment that people are defending these actions. And full of joy for my friend who beat infertility and is having THREE babies. May every adult in their lives protect them and not let them down.
Well hello! Fancy seeing you here. It’s been a while, but having walking pneumonia is keeping me home from work today. I’m all caught up on my Google Reader and my DVR. I’ve read all the magazines I can read. I’m bored. So? Hello!
Here’s a recap of recent events in my life…
Football games. Duh. The Gamecocks are 7-1 with a big game at Arkansas this weekend. GO COCKS!!
Celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. The Mister and I both had birthdays in September and our 7th anniversary in October.
Reuniting with old friends at football games. SO.FUN.
Staring a new part time job. That I L.O.V.E.
Going to the beach with my parents. Relaxing. Walking on the beach. Visiting a battleship. Eating great food.
Being sick. Stupid lungs need to get healthy!
Enjoying fall TV. Hello–Revenge? LOVE!
Nothing terribly exciting, but we are staying busy. Also, one of my precious friends called me 2 weeks ago to share her special news. Go check it out! Love you Suz!!
Does this post mean I’m back in the game of blogging? Maybe? We’ll see how it goes. I do miss it, but I feel like sometimes what I want to say is not interesting. I’m much better at the 140 character dealio.
You know. Richard Dean Anderson? From the 80′s? This guy??
Anyway…today was allergy shot day. And as usual, my arms swelled up at the injection sites. Completely normal for me. Except my left arm looked like I’d had a 44H implant inserted in it. YIKES! So, I needed an ice pack. Well, we don’t have ice packs laying (lying??) around our office, so we had to improvise. We MacGyver’d it. 1 rubber glove, ice, a gauze wrap and a binder clip. Voila!
It worked pretty well too! However I did stop on the way home and bought an ace bandage and an ice pack. Because having a rubber glove sticking out from a gauze wrap garners strange looks. And funny jokes.
Yikes. I took quite the blogging break. I think I’m ready to get back into it. We’ll see. Just to catch you up…
The Mister?? Cancer Free!! And no longer radioactive. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. They are more appreciated than I could ever express.
We spent Memorial Day at the beach with my in-laws. I don’t remember a lot of it, because it’s best if I drink heavily around my mother-in-law.
In June, I went to the beach with thesesuperfungirls. A much needed getaway. We had a blast. LOVE them.
July 4th brought the mountains, my in-laws and more drinking.
July also brought sleepovers with my nephew and my nieces. So so so fun.
One more July event–my high school reunion. 20 years. WOW. It was fun. Also, don’t be the girl that drinks too much at the reunion. Trust me.
What does August have in store?? First and foremost, the gender reveal of my sister’s 4th baby. CAN.NOT.WAIT! (I’m team pink.) The Grand Opening of the Container Store. Celebrating a 2 year olds birthday. 3 baby showers. And? A trip to Raleigh. To visit dear friends.
I’ve missed blogging. I wonder if y’all have missed me? I do Tweet a lot, so probably not. HAHA!!
