New Design

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Becca over at Jumping Jax Designs is responsible for my amazing new design. Aaron from RFE Hosting helped me get all the elements installed. Becca and Aaron are both fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend their services to anyone!

What do y’all think of the new look!

WARNING! Construction Zone

Things are going to be pretty dusty around here while I figure this out. But I’m having so much fun trying to make it work! I will beat you WordPress and Genesis!

In the meantime, please pray for my family–especially my sweet nieces. My parents are putting their dog to sleep tomorrow and the girls are having a hard time.

Thanks friends!

Makeover: Under Construction

Y’all pardon the dust around here while I figure out how to install my awesome new blog design from Becca! Check her out…she’s fantastic! And an absolute joy to work with. :-)

In the meantime–what do you think of my new header?

Day 8-Biggest Pet Peeve

Oh Lord. I could go on and on and on about this one. Maybe because I am anal and OCD about some things. Maybe because I just don’t understand other people. Maybe because I am the problem???? Who knows. Anyway, in no particular order, here are some of my biggest pet peeves.

  • Not clearing the time on the microwave. I’m sorry, but the time is not 0:47. If you don’t use all the time, clear it off!
  • Using the wrong homonym. Your and you’re are different. So are there, their and they’re. Learn the difference and use the right word.
  • Not using turn signals.
  • Walking into a store and stopping. There are people behind you–keep moving!
  • People who pull over in front of me. Don’t. I’m speeding–stay out of my way.
  • Not refilling the paper towels or toilet paper.
  • Vague tweets/FB status updates. If you’re going to say something–say it! Don’t try to get me to drag it out of you

So, that’s probably enough for now. What about you? Do you have pet peeves?

Dream Job

The prompt for Day #7 is Dream Job. What is your dream job?

Gosh–this is a tough one. I’ve been working for my company for 10 years. Is this my dream job? No. But I like it. Well, I like the people I work with. Most of them….

Anyway…

When I was young, I wanted to be a teacher. Then I wanted to be a psychiatrist–first child, then sport. After school, I was a coach–combining all three jobs. That was a very fun, very rewarding job.

If we are REALLY dreaming, then I would want to be a singing star–like Carrie Underwood. Girlfriend can sing!

Also? Part of me still dreams of being a mom. That ship has sailed, but it always niggles in the back, dark corners of my psyche.

Maybe one day I’ll be a stay at home wife.

Yep–that’s my new dream.

What about y’all?
